Indiana is one of the nation's top four life sciences leaders (as defined by number and concentration of life sciences-related jobs), according to the report, "Growing the Nation's Bioscience Sector: State Bioscience Initiatives 2006" (Battelle Memorial Institute).
Indiana has long been a world leader in life sciences and home to such industry giants as Eli Lilly and Company, Biomet, Cook Group, Inc. and Zimmer.
